Few have been successful in that aim, though. Annika Rimala has – even within a section of design especially ruled by the constant and fast changes of fashion. Only her Tasaraita tricot-collection for Marimekko, that reflects the liberty of thought and thinking in the fashion-design of the sixties, would be enough to grant Annika Rimala a place among the really important fashion designers of the late 20th century. Her colourful world of textiles and clothing as a whole, has left a permanet mark in Finnish dressing habits.
