In the Nordic countries perhaps more than any other region, the fundamentals of design culture are not only echoed but articulated most profoundly through products, spaces and services intended specifically for children and families.

This book is a part of a survey of progressive Nordic design for children and presents a selection of works included in the exhibition. It is organized chronologically, covering every decade in the period examined and interweaving representations of the different countries as well as diverse design disciplines.
